Design of my Home Area

The area you're browsing now is the sixth iteration of my Home Area.

I wrote the first four versions at AUBG, roughly one version per year, as the technology advanced from the HTML proposed by NCSA with their Mosaic browser to version 4(beta) of the Netscape browser.
Version 5 is at home, on my computer and it's an interface to my 2G data archive; since I could not put that version on-line, I snipped at it and generated this version. There may be blind links in it, areas which are cut short, etc. I may fix that when I'll find a dependable ISP and get my own domain so I can open up the server at home to the world.

Until then, I'll bring on mostly the Projects area and parts of the Portfolio relevant to the Cognitive Science area in which these pages currently live.

Conceptually, I think I'm getting along well in this area, with consistent navigation and a flat hierarchical tree. Technically, though I'm not very happy with the current shape of these pages. It works fine in Explorer 4 and higher, but some bug in the JavaScript implementation in Netscape (at least v4.5) make some pages totally unreadable, while other pages, using the same code, look just fine. This will have to wait too, I guess...
