Participation
Participants will be selected by a Selection Committee on the basis of their submitted documents:
· CV
· statement of purpose
· letter of recommendation
· list of publications (if any)
Deadline for application: May 1,
2005.
It is
recommended that you apply as soon as possible since the number of participants
is limited.

Participant Symposium
Participants
are invited to present their research and research projects at the participant
symposium.
Submit short papers up to 3 pages to be reviewed and potentially presented at
the participant symposium. Papers should be sent in PDF or DOC format.

Housing and Fees
The
Organizing Committee has been able to make arrangements with three hotels and
is able to provide accommodation at very favorable prices. However, the
participants have to pay the whole sum to the organizing committee in advance.
This fee includes accommodation and full board for the period July 25 - August
12, as well as participation in all courses, participant symposia, panel
discussions, and student sessions.
Meal arrangements are independent of accommodation choice. All participants
will have meals together which will allow for better social interactions and
continuation of the discussions started in classes.
The
registration fees which include accommodation for 3 weeks (from the evening of
July 24 until the morning of Aug 13), meals, reception, teaching materials, and
tuition, are the following:
Bed in a shared room in a 2-star hotel - EUR 950
Bed in a shared room in a 3-star hotel - EUR 1 110
Bed in a single room 3-star hotel - EUR 1 300
Partial Support: Limited funds for grants are
available. Grants of ¤ 500 will be provided as partial support to promising
applicants. The selection will be done by a committee based on the following
criteria:
- quality of the applicants' statement
of purpose and other evidence of academic excellence and strong motivation;
- priority will be given to participants
who submit papers for presentation at the Summer School;
- priority will be given to applicants
coming from countries with low average income and from universities that are not able to support
their students and researchers.
Registration: Within
two weeks of receiving a letter that you have been selected for participation
in the Summer School you should register and pay, otherwise the place might be
assigned to other applicants.

Cancellations and Reimbursement
If you cancel your registration before June 30 you will be refunded with a 15% reduction, afterwards no refunding will be possible.
